I write and live in worlds where crime seeps out of hidden pores in sunshine.
These stories dive down where light fades into gray.

Growing up in an 18-room guesthouse/wartime hospital in the Caribbean isn’t for everyone,
But it proved the right atmosphere for bestselling author Gene Desrochers to hone a sense of story, mystery, and scene.
I was born on a tiny dot called “St. Thomas” (somewhere in the Caribbean).
Over time, I migrated west until I found a home in the continental United States.
I scraped together the time to earn a JD and become a practicing lawyer, run a tennis club, and publish short fiction in publications across the US and beyond.
Now settled in an exotic land known as Los Angeles, I split time between family, writing, tennis, and honing my ability to impress strangers with my St. Thomian accent.
